Terry has helped Aston Villa to five straight league wins since his return to action last month.

Aston Villa supporters are urging their club to extend John Terry’s contract at Villa Park.
Terry signed an initial one-year deal after his release by Chelsea last summer, and has become a fans favourite in recent weeks.
The 37-year-old sat out the best part of two months with a fractured metatarsal but has helped Aston Villa to five straight league wins since his return to fitness at the start of January.

According to the Telegraph, Terry’s contract contains a mutual 12-month extension option, although the newspaper adds the former England captain will delay any decision on his future until the end of the season in May.
The Villans’ recent run has seen them climb into the automatic promotion places, and leaves an emotional reunion between Terry and first club Chelsea looking likely next season – should the Villa Park skipper extend his stay in Birmingham.

However, some Aston Villa fans are willing to bend over backwards to get Terry signed up ASAP.
Here’s what they are saying about his future on Twitter…
