Mo Diame reportedly wants to reunite with his former Hull City boss Steve Bruce at Aston Villa.

Newcastle United fans know what it’s like to endure the travails of a YouTube player.
As any supporter will tell you, Moussa Sissoko had a rather intriguing habit of being at his barnstorming best during televised, big-game clashes while simultaneously treating the 3pm bread and butter like a weekend kick-about.
But at least Sissoko did produce the odd moment of magic. That’s more than can be said for Mo Diame lately, the 30-year-old midfielder who has been a huge disappointment on Tyneside since his 2016 move from Hull City.

And despite scoring the goal that secured Hull’s return to the Premier League against Sheffield Wednesday in the 2016 play-off final, bending a sumptuous shot into the top corner from 25 yards, it says a lot that Diame was still far from universally popular on Humberside.
While the former Wigan and West Ham man is capable of real star quality, his tendency to drift through the motions left supporters demanding more.
Aston Villa, then, should keep this in mind as The Mirror (13th November, page 47) report that Diame is hoping for a reunion with his former Hull boss Steve Bruce at the Championship club.

The Senegalese midfielder looks set to leave Newcastle after starting just one Premier League game all season. But despite his proven track record in the Championship, Villa fans are not exactly enamoured by the prospect of Diame wearing claret and blue.
