A number of Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to comment on ex-Villa loanee Tammy Abraham scoring a hat-trick against West Midlands rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers en route to a heavy Chelsea win at Molineux.

The Blues striker was sensational for Dean Smith’s side last season, weighing in with 26 goals in all competitions as the Villa Park side successfully in the Championship playoffs to seal their return back to the Premier League.

Abraham is now being utilised plentifully by new Chelsea manager Frank Lampard and, following braces against Norwich City and Sheffield United (Transfermarkt), he went one better on Saturday by smashing three past Wolves on their home turf.

The 21-year-old was substituted midway through the second half following an awkward landing while defending a corner but the damage was well and truly done as the Blues sealed a 5-2 victory at Molineux.

As reported by the Daily Star, Abraham has become the first Chelsea player to score 2 or more goals in three consecutive games since George Graham in 1964, and it also makes him just the fifth player in the club’s history to have managed this.
