Villa have partnered with Kappa, who will take over from local fashion brand LUKE1977.
Aston Villa have announced Italian sportswear manufacturer Kappa as their new principal partner ahead of the 2019-20 season.
Kappa, who have been making sportswear for over 60 years, take over from local fashion brand LUKE1977, which is owned by boyhood claret and blue Luke Roper (Birmingham Mail).
According to the Villa website, the Italian company has signed a three-year agreement running until 2022 and will provide kit and training wear for Villa’s first team, development and junior sides as well as the ladies’ teams.
Kappa have produced kits for the likes of the Italy national team while, in the Championship, they have designed Leeds United’s kits for the past few seasons.
After the announcement was made on social media, some Villa fans expressed concern over the prospect of the shirts’ fit, given the manufacturer appears to have a reputation for making tight-fitting kits.
