The 23-year-old posted a throwback photo of himself with a friend at Villa Park and fan response ranged from praise to good-natured banter.

Despite being on the sidelines with no concrete return date as of yet, Aston Villa winger Jack Grealish continues to be active on social media in support of his club and teammates.
The 23-year-old has not played since early December due to a shin injury picked up in the Championship derby match against West Bromwich Albion and the Villans’ form has stuttered somewhat in his absence.
According to a Sky Sports News report from February 6, Grealish could be set to make his return by the end of this month, but the Birmingham Mail, in an article detailing Villa’s current unavailable personnel, said Dean Smith still couldn’t provide a clear answer on the ace’s comeback.
Nevertheless, Grealish continues to show the club and fans alike that, despite his absence, Villa is never far from his mind, and on Monday night he posted a Twitter message with a throwback photo to when he was a child:
Grealish added two rolling-on-the-floor-laughing emojis as a caption, showing he’s more than happy to poke fun at himself while also showcasing how Villa was his passion from a young age, at the club’s ground on matchday and in the famous claret and blue shirt.
Some Villa fans took to Twitter to reply to their talisman’s post, some joining in the good-natured mick-taking (his haircut got some stick), others simply praising him:
