Some Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to express their excitement at the Championship season entering its final five games, as well as having a go at predicting how many points they will get from their remaining fixtures.
The West Midlanders are the Championship’s in-form team, having surged up the table and into the playoff places thanks to a superb seven-game winning run in which fellow promotion candidates and relegation fighters were defeated alike.
From the swaggering romps to victory against the likes of Derby County and Middlesbrough to brave displays of perseverance, such as against Blackburn and Rotherham, not to mention the hostile and dangerous derby atmosphere against Birmingham, all hurdles so far have been cleared.
However, there is still plenty of work to be done, with 15 points left to play for and a gap of five points between fifth-placed Villa and seventh-placed Middlesbrough, so the coming weeks are going to be nail-bitingly tense for the claret and blue faithful.
