Villa’s Championship playoff semi-final first leg is set for a 12:30pm kickoff.

Aston Villa have announced further details regarding their Championship playoff semi-finals, with the kickoff time for the first leg now confirmed.
Dean Smith’s charges have cemented fifth place in the table with one regular season fixture left, and will thus play the league’s fourth-placed team, with the first leg at home.
West Bromwich Albion are the more likely candidate to finish fourth at present and yield a West Midlands derby, but they could yet go up to third, with Leeds United the other potential opponent.
The first leg of Aston Villa’s playoff semi-final is at Villa Park on Saturday 11 May with a 12:30pm kickoff, while the second leg is on Tuesday 14 May, but kickoff details are yet to be announced.
Some Villa fans took to Twitter after the club shared the news and one particular detail seemed to be especially irksome – that of the early kickoff time, with 5:15pm also having been an option (Birmingham Mail):
Derby County, who were beaten semi-finalists last year, occupy the final spot in the playoff zone, but Middlesbrough and Bristol City could yet pip Frank Lampard’s side into sixth on the final matchday.
