Aston Villa have announced that Alan Hutton is available for selection ahead of Saturday’s Championship home fixture against Bristol City.
The right-back has not played since picking up a knock in February’s 1-1 draw with Stoke City – the last time Villa failed to win a game in the league.
Hutton has made 32 Championship appearances for the West Midlanders this season, scoring twice and recording one assist, according to Transfermarkt.
One of the retired Scotland international’s goals this term was the superb solo run from his own half in the Second City derby against Birmingham City at Villa Park to seal a 4-2 win.
Despite that glorious moment, Hutton’s overall game this season has come under criticism by a number of Villa fans, with some not wanting him near the team again.
