Aston Villa should dread losing both Andre Green and Keinan Davis this summer, with Southampton said to be interested in the pair by the Daily Mail.

Villa are in huge trouble financially, following their failure to earn promotion to the Premier League last term.

It appears that almost all of their first-team is up for sale, but losing Green and Davis could be equally as devastating for Villa.

Losing first-team players is one thing, but being stripped of their talent, who they have developed from their teenaged years, would be another bitter pill to swallow.

Davis and Green have both developed through Villa’s academy system, and they appeared to be two of the youngsters ready to step up, with the claret and blues set to lose so many senior stars.

Davis and Green were both given a significant amount of first-team opportunities by Bruce last term.

But just as it seemed that they may become regulars in the starting line-up, it appears they could head elsewhere, and that will be gutting for everyone at Villa Park.
