The Aston Villa-linked goalkeeper struggled on Friday night.

Aston Villa fans on Twitter are thankful that they did not sign Stoke City’s Jack Butland this past summer.
The 26-year-old was heavily linked with a move to Aston Villa following their Premier League promotion.
But the Potters’ £30 million valuation is reported to have deterred Villa boss Dean Smith and the club’s hierarchy [The Northern Echo]
On Friday, Butland made a major error in the 3-2 home defeat by Nottingham Forest and it wasn’t the first mistake that he’s made between the sticks for City this season already.
Here’s how Villa fans reacted to his performance:
In the end, Aston Villa signed Tom Heaton for £8 million and that’s looking like a far better investment right now.
The Villans, who sit 18th in the Premier League table, are really struggling despite spending over £100 million on transfers this past summer.
And things would’ve been a lot worse financially had they signed Butland – and if they, say, get relegated.
