Villa have paid £15 million to sign Luiz from City, according to BBC Sport.
And Villa fans are very excited to see their new Brazilian midfielder in action.
Luiz also seems keen to get started at Villa Park, and posted on social media about the move yesterday.
Villa fans were quick to welcome Luiz, and suggested that he could be joining a bigger club than City now.
Luiz is expected to have a key role to play in Villa’s midfield.
The claret and blues now have an impressive trio of midfielders competing for places, with John McGinn and Jack Grealish’s starting spots already fairly secure.
Luiz is one of a huge number of new arrivals at Villa this summer, with the Midlands side showing great ambition.
Villa’s opening game of the season comes against Tottenham Hotspur in two weekends’ time.
