Some Aston Villa fans have responded to Arsenal’s post about Emile Smith Rowe on Twitter.
What’s the story?
Arsenal have posted an 18-second clip of Smith Rowe on Twitter showcasing his best moments of last season.
This comes amid speculation that Villa are interested in signing the attacking midfielder from Premier League rivals Arsenal.
The Athletic reported this week that the Villans made a bid of £25 million for the 20-year-old.
Arsenal have turned it down, as the Gunners do not want to sell the youngster at all.
In fact, the North London club plan to hand the England Under-21 international a new deal.
Smith Rowe enjoyed a breakthrough season at Arsenal in 2020-21.
The youngster scored two goals and gave four assists in 20 Premier League matches for Mikel Arteta’s side.
The Englishman also scored one goal and gave three assists in 11 Europa League games.

Aston Villa fans’ response
As the following tweets show, some Villa fans seem to want Smith Rowe to join the club.
Some Villa fans have responded to the post and appear to suggest that the youngster will make the move to Villa Park.
Will a transfer happen?
Unlikely.
Arsenal will know that they simply cannot afford to let go of a talented and promising young attacking player such as Smith Rowe.
