Aston Villa are deciding whether to appoint Steve Bruce or Steve Clarke, according to The Sun – and fans have taken to Twitter to have their say.
After just one win in 11 Championship games this season, Villa chose to sack manager Roberto Di Matteo on Monday morning, with the Italian losing his job after just 124 days in charge.

Owner Tony Xia is now charged with the task of finding another manager – but less than a week since Di Matteo’s exit, he appears to have already narrowed his options down to just two candidates.
Xia took to Twitter on Friday to tell fans that it was now a straight fight between two managers, and The Sun report that Steve Bruce is the favourite for the job, with caretaker boss Steve Clarke also in contention.

Bruce, 55, has four promotions to the Premier League on his CV, but he also has an extensive history with Villa’s major rivals Birmingham City, having both played for and managed the Blues.
Xia could look to land the former Hull boss, or promote from within, handing Di Matteo’s assistant Steve Clarke the job – despite limited success in his last job with Reading.

Fans have unsurprisingly been having their say on this potential head-to-head clash for the job – and they appear to be unanimously in favour of Bruce.
His history with Birmingham is a concern, but fans are so adamant that Clarke shouldn’t be in charge given his assistance to Di Matteo, that they are willing to accept Bruce as their new manager.
