Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of Everton-owned winger Yannick Bolasie against Middlesbrough.
Bolasie, who joined Villa on loan from Premier League club Everton in the summer transfer window, featured in the Championship game against Middlesbrough away from home at the Riverside Stadium on Saturday evening.
The 29-year-old winger started the match and played for 73 minutes, as Dean Smith’s side won 3-0.
According to WhoScored, the DR Congo international took two shots, provided one assist, had a pass accuracy of 86.4%, won three headers, and made two interceptions, and played five key passes.
Bolasie played well against Boro, showed his tricks and pace, and was a menace for the opposition defenders.
The win means that Villa are now eighth in the Championship table with 31 points from 20 matches, just three points behind Sheffield United, who are currently sixth in the standings and occupy the final playoff spot.
Villa fans were impressed with the performance of Bolasie and have praised the Everton-owned winger on Twitter.
