Aston Villa were beaten, but Wolverhampton Wanderers loanee Kortney Hause was praised.

After the midweek defeat to Brentford, it appeared that many Aston Villa fans were worried about the club’s decision to sign Kortney Hause on loan from Wolves as he endured a difficult evening.
Hause has been brought in to strengthen Dean Smith’s options at left-back. But after struggling against the manager’s former club, it seemed that some were already ready to write him off.
However, many Villans supporters on Twitter clearly feel that Hause’s performance was one of the only positives to emerge from Saturday’s clash with West Brom – which saw the Baggies leave Villa Park with the three points after a 2-0 win.
The 23-year-old showed no reluctance to get stuck in and provided some composure when he had the ball. It was a much better performance from the Wolves loanee, and some are now optimistic that he could prove to be a very good addition over the coming months.

Villa confirmed on their official website when Hause joined on loan that the club had the option to make the deal permanent at the end of the season.
And while it is clearly too early to make any assumptions regarding whether Smith will decide to keep the defender heading into next season, there will seemingly be a lot of fans in favour of a permanent move should his display against Darren Moore’s side prove to be a sign of what is to come.

Here is how some of the Villa fans reacted to Hause’s performance…
