West Brom fans were audibly heard singing about Villa, ahead of the clash between the two sides on Friday evening.
The Baggies’ match against Brentford was broadcast last night, and Villa supporters did not take too kindly to the chants against them.
West Brom went on to draw 1-1 with Brentford yesterday, with the Bees scoring a last minute equaliser at the Hawthorns.
Darren Moore’s side now face a tough test against Villa next, as the claret and blues have been in excellent form of late.
Villa have won five of their first eight matches under Dean Smith’s stewardship, which has helped them climb up the Championship table.
Villa are now beginning to put pressure on the promotion chasers, as their own form improves.
Smith’s side are currently four points and five places behind West Brom in the second tier standings.
