The big Aston Villa hitman impressed against the League One side, garnering comparisons to Christian Benteke.

Early days, but Aston Villa fans are already liking the look of big-money striker Wesley.
Dean Smith’s side returned to the United Kingdom this week after their tour of the United States.
The Villans beat League One side Shrewsbury Town 1-0 this afternoon and although it was a low-scoring game, the Brazilian striker, a £22 million addition [Birmingham Mail], got Aston Villa fans excited nonetheless.
It was Scott Hogan who scored the winner for the visitors, after the Republic of Ireland international ran on to a brilliant pass from Wesley following excellent hold-up play by the 6’4 machine.
The former Club Brugge hitman resembles Christian Benteke physically and the way he plays the game, and some supporters of the West Midlands club drew the same comparisons.
Benteke scored 42 Premier League goals in three seasons at Villa Park and if Wesley is similar then he’ll be a fine, fine addition.
He is one of eight new signings at Bodymoor Heath this summer but there are other logs on the fire on the transfer front, with Douglas Luiz and Trezeguet set to join over the coming days.
