Mings was one of the heroes of Villa’s promotion campaign, starring in defence after joining on loan from Bournemouth in January.
He is currently on his break and working with his own academy.
After some confusion, Mings sent a message last night to clarify that an ‘Announce Mings’ message connected with his appearance at his academy was not transfer related.
This isn’t really a problem for Mings or Villa. It just shows that the fans care so much and want him to sign permanently.
Mings is still officially a Bournemouth player and his performances on loan will only have raised his potential price tag, making it more difficult for Villa.
