Mings’ form since his permanent move to Villa this summer has earned him a place in Gareth Southgate’s squad for the first time.
The centre-back has been called up to the England team for the Three Lions’ next two games against Bulgaria and Kosovo.
And Villa fans were delighted to see Mings post an update after training yesterday evening.
Mings has formed an excellent partnership alongside Bjorn Engels at the heart of Villa’s defence since the season started.
The powerful defender has been complimented well by Engels, with the pair two of Villa’s star performers.
Despite Mings’ excellent showings, Dean Smith’s side would surely have liked a few more points on board by this stage.
Villa have taken just three points from their opening four matches this season, leaving them sat in the relegation zone at this very early stage of the campaign.
