Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Josh Onomah’s display in their 1-1 draw with Preston North End on Tuesday night, and it appears that many would not mind if it proves to be the Tottenham loanee’s last appearance for the Villans.

Onomah has endured a mixed time with Villa. When he is at his best, he has looked a very bright prospect, scoring four times for Steve Bruce’s men this term. However, Villa fans have not seen that side of Onomah often enough as far as they are concerned.

And in the club’s latest game, it appears that many of the supporters were completely underwhelmed by the youngster’s performance as Bruce’s side’s automatic-promotion hopes suffered a setback.

Villa needed Lewis Grabban to score from the spot during the second-half to earn them a point against the Lilywhites at Villa Park to leave them 12 points off leaders Wolves and, perhaps more importantly at this stage, one point off Cardiff who now have a game in hand.

Onomah played the full 90 minutes against Preston, but his attitude and work-rate has been questioned by the fans on social media after the game, with many feeling that he could have shown more in the draw.

His display has strengthened many supporters’ belief that Callum O’Hare should be getting a chance in the first-team ahead of the Spurs loanee. The 19-year-old has been in excellent form for the under-23s, and several fans feel that now is the time to give him an opportunity.
