Aston Villa fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to speculation that Tommy Elphick will join Reading on a permanent contract.
Elphick has been on the books of Villa since the summer of 2016 when he moved from Bournemouth for a transfer fee reported by The Birmingham Mail to be worth £3 million.
The 30-year-old defender spent the second half of the past season on loan at Reading, having moved to the Royals in the January transfer window.

According to The Reading Chronicle, Elphick is on the verge of switching to the Royals on a permanent contract.
