The Terriers will play in the Championship next season after getting relegated from the Premier League.
As for Villa, Dean Smith’s side will feature in the top flight of English football during the 2019-20 campaign after winning promotion from the Championship via the playoffs.
Elphick joined Villa in 2016, but in recent times, the 31-year-old had struggled to make an impact for the Villans.
The defender had loan spells at Reading and Hull City in 2018, but the former Brighton and Hove Albion defender helped Smith’s side during the second half of this past season win promotion to the Premier League via the Championship playoffs.
According to WhoScored, Elphick made 11 appearances in the Championship for Villa this past season, scoring one goal in the process.
