Abraham was in action for Chelsea in their opening Premier League game of the season against United away from home at Old Trafford on Sunday evening.
The 21-year-old striker started the match and played for 66 minutes, as Frank Lampard’s side were hammered 4-0.
The England international was unlucky to have hit the post, but other than that, his performance was largely underwhelming.
Abraham struggled to hold the ball up well and could not bring his teammates into play.
The youngster was on loan at Villa last season and played an key role in Dean Smith’s side clinching promotion from the Championship via the playoffs.
According to WhoScored, the 21-year-old made 40 appearances in the Championship for the Villans last season, scoring 26 goals and providing three assists in the process.
