Aston Villa reportedly want Southampton forward Shane Long on loan in the summer transfer window.

Aston Villa fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to speculation linking the club with a move for Southampton forward Shane Long.
According to The Express & Star, Championship club Villa are interested in signing Long from Premier League side Southampton in the summer transfer window.
The 31-year-old has been on the books of the Saints since the summer of 2014 when he joined from Hull City for a transfer fee reported by The Daily Mail to be worth £12 million.
The Republic of Ireland international is not a very prolific goalscorer and is not guaranteed a place in the Southampton starting lineup.
During the 2017-18 campaign, Long – who earns £60,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com – made 15 starts and 15 substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Saints, scoring two goals and providing one assist in the process, according to WhoScored.
