Aston Villa got back to winning ways against Middlesbrough this weekend.

Aston Villa finally got a much-needed win on the board when they overcame Middlesbrough 1-0 at the Riverside Stadium on Saturday.
The Villans’ goal came courtesy of Robert Snodgrass, who found the net with only 15 minutes of normal-time remaining, and it will be a disappointing game to reflect on for Scott Hogan, who failed to find the net in his second successive start for a club in desperate need of a regular scorer.

The absence of Jonathan Kodjia and Keinan Davies means the much-maligned Hogan was given a chance to prove his worth, first against Brentford and then against Boro.
While he got an assist in the 2-1 loss to his former club, one wonders how many more chances Hogan will get given his lack of impact last time out.

A lack of confidence is certainly a factor, with Villa rarely starting the 25-year-old despite the goals that earned him a move in the first place.
