Aston Villa have reportedly been impressed by Southampton striker Sam Gallagher, during his loan spell at Blackburn Rovers.

Aston Villa fans appear to be eager to see Steve Bruce sign up Southampton striker Sam Gallagher.
Gallagher has been on loan at Blackburn Rovers this season, and the youngster has proven a big threat in the Championship.
The 21-year-old has scored 10 goals in 34 appearances for Blackburn this season, and his form has not gone unnoticed.
According to the Sun’s print edition from 26th March, Villa are keen to bring in Gallagher during the summer transfer window for a fee of £3 million.
And it seems that Gallagher’s arrival at Villa Park would go down well with fans of the Midlands club, who have been impressed by his performances this term.
Whether Southampton would be willing to sell Gallagher remains to be seen, but he is reaching an age where he needs to be playing regular first-team football.
At Saints, Gallagher faces tough competition for a place in Claude Puel’s line-up, which could force him to depart St. Mary’s.
If Villa were to sign Gallagher, he would have to move ahead of the likes of Scott Hogan and Jonathan Kodjia in the pecking order to get a starting spot.
