Aston Villa fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to speculation that John Terry wants to play for one more season.

According to The Mirror, Terry wants to carry on playing for one more season, and that Villa manager Steve Bruce knows that.

It has also been reported that the ex-England international central defender would be happy to stay at Villa next season even if it means playing against his former club Chelsea.

The 37-year-old centre-back joined the Villans on a free transfer in the summer of 2017 after leaving Premier League club Chelsea at the end of the 2016-17 campaign.

Bruce’s side are aiming to finish in top six of the Championship this season and get promoted to the Premier League for the 2018-19 campaign via the playoffs.

Terry has featured in 28 Championship matches for the Villans so far this season, scoring one goal in the process.
