Aston Villa fans on Twitter have taken aim at Mile Jedinak…..again.

Steve Bruce’s side slumped to their second defeat of the Championship season as Sheffield Wednesday left Villa Park with a 2-1 win.

Goals from Marco Matias and Steven Fletcher, either side of John McGinn’s worldie, did the damage to Aston Villa yesterday.

Bruce elected to pair Jedinak with James Chester in central defence yet again and, well, it wasn’t a solid afternoon for the Australia international, who was a centre-midfielder up until this season.

And here’s how some Aston Villa fans reacted to his performance:

Jedinak’s performance has left Bruce with a little bit of egg on his face. After all, the veteran manager claimed earlier this week that Jedinak could play centre-half, in an impassioned defence of the former Crystal Palace man, who cost Aston Villa £4 million in 2016.

He is a fine central midfielder but time will tell whether he’s really the top-quality central defender that Bruce reckons he is.
