Aston Villa midfielder Mile Jedinak’s contract is due to expire in the coming weeks, but he wants to stay.

Some Aston Villa fans have suggested keeping Mile Jedinak at the club on reduced terms, while others feel it is time for him to go.
Jedinak suggested to AU News yesterday that he would like to stay at Villa, after helping them gain promotion back to the Premier League.
He said: “I haven’t spoken to anyone about next season but it would be awesome to have that [Premier League] experience again.”
And although many Villa fans have some concerns over his current wage, which stands at £50,000-a-week (Daily Mirror), they feel that he has earned an extension. Others, though, are less sentimental and believe that they can do better now.
Since Dean Smith has arrived Jedinak has only been used sparingly by Villa.
However, he has been a brilliant professional, and covered both both centre-back and in central midfield over the past campaign.
Jedinak also scored a penalty for Villa, as they beat West Bromwich Albion to reach the play off final.
If Jedinak isn’t kept on by Smith it would suggest that Villa are planning to sign at least one new central midfielder in the summer.
