The Australian impressed for Aston Villa on Saturday.
Aston Villa moved within five points of the playoff places after beating Blackburn Rovers 2-1 at Villa Park on Saturday.
Sam Gallagher opened the scoring for the visitors on 54 minutes as Rovers threatened to ruin the feel-good vibe around Aston Villa following Steve Bruce’s appointment last month.
But Villa showed plenty of character to bounce back as two goals from Jonathan Kodjia – including one penalty – sealed a come-from-behind victory for the West Midlands outfit.

It was a game which threw up one major positive in the form of Kodjia, who now has five goals in the five games since Bruce took over from Roberto Di Matteo.
But another positive was definitely that of Mile Jedinak’s performance.
The Australian midfielder, a £4 million summer signing from Crystal Palace, had struggled for much of his Aston Villa career so far, but he posted perhaps his best display so far yesterday – and set up Kodjia’s winner on 70 minutes with an excellent ball.

Bruce himself acknowledged his performance, and the Villans’ faithful were equally as willing to highlight the 32-year-old’s good work on Twitter.
