Leeds United defender Pontus Jansson’s actions against Aston Villa last season are said to have played a part in his exit.

Aston Villa fans have praised Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa for letting Pontus Jansson leave.
Leeds confirmed Jansson had joined Brentford last night, in a move which has proven to be controversial at Elland Road.
When Leeds were ordered to allow Villa to score by Bielsa last season, Jansson appeared to keep on playing as he was so against his manager’s decision.
It is claimed that Jansson’s relationship with Bielsa deteriorated as a result of his actions against Villa.
And Villa fans have actually backed the Leeds manager’s decision, as they think the Whites will be better off without Jansson.
Leeds will almost certainly have to enter the market to buy a centre-back now Jansson has left.
Bielsa’s options in the position now look short, even though they have brought in Ben White on loan this summer.
