Leeds striker attempts to explain incident against Aston Villa.

Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford has attempted to explain his playacting against Aston Villa.
Bamford feigned injury after being barely being touched by Villa’s Anwar El Ghazi.
The game late in the season ended up with Bamford being handed a two game ban. One of the matches he missed was the play-offs.
When he did play in the defeat to Derby, Bamford had gone more than a fortnight without gametime and was unable to provide a cutting edge.
Speaking to BBC Sport, Bamford said: “Once I’ve put that in people’s minds it’s going to be hard to change that.
“But it’s something I’ve got to do over the next few years. Looking back, I regret it. I maintain he touched me but I milked it and made a stupid deal of it.
“I wouldn’t do it again and it’s something I have to learn from.”

Bamford is right that his reputation is one of the biggest victims of the saga.
Villa went on to win promotion to the Premier League through the play-offs, only serving to run in an embarrassing incident for Bamford.
Fans of the Villans are not buying Bamford’s comments either, suggesting it comes either too late, or are not genuine.
