Aston Villa fans fear that they are going for the wrong man, if they pay £15 million for Nottingham Forest winger Joe Lolley.

The Sun on Sunday (page 59) claims that Forest want a big fee for the playmaker, who has never played above Championship level.

And Villa fans feel that Lolley is now too expensive, with Forest demanding too much for him.

Villa supporters, instead, feel that a move for Hull City’s Jarrod Bowen would be a smarter deal.

Lolley and Bowen were both stars in the Championship last season, but the Hull man is younger.

The Daily Mail suggest that the 22-year-old would be available to buy for £15 million from the Tigers.

Bowen hit 22 goals for Hull last season, a total which eclipsed Lolley’s contributions for Forest.

Villa are yet to officially make a signing this summer, but Dean Smith’s side are thought to have money to spend.
