Aston Villa are linked with the 25-year-old winger.
HITC Sport reported on Friday that Aston Villa were interested in signing Jamie Hopcutt.
The English winger plays for Ostersund FK and has managed 38 goals in 109 appearances for the Swedish club.
Hopcutt, 25, also scored in a Europa League qualifier against Galatasaray this week, with HITC Sport claiming that Aston Villa, along with Wolves and Brighton, were in contention to bring him to Villa Park this summer.

The Birmingham Mail reported on Saturday that Hopcutt – who began his career at York City, before moving to Sweden in 2012 – could be available for £1.5 million.
Naturally, not a great deal is known about the English talent and Aston Villa fans aren’t clued up about their latest reported target.
Aston Villa have had quite a decent summer transfer window so far.
Of course, manager Steve Bruce has brought in John Terry on a one-year deal, but the veterna manager added Sam Johnstone to his ranks on Friday.
The Manchester United goalkeeper, 24, has re-joined the Villans on a season-long loan, after impressing under Bruce from January to May of last season.
