Aston Villa beat Wolverhampton Wanderers 4-1 on Saturday evening.

Aston Villa produced a stunning performance to destroy Championship leaders Wolverhampton Wanderers 4-1 at Villa Park on Saturday evening.
Wolves went into the game having thrashed Leeds United 3-0 at Elland Road, but were completely dismantled at Villa Park as Steve Bruce’s men ran riot.
Villa opened the scoring in the first half when Wolves failed to clear a Robert Snodgrass corner, allowing Albert Adomah to bundle the ball home, before Diogo Jota equalised for Wolves from close range.

Wolves again couldn’t deal with a Snodgrass set piece as the Scot delivered for James Chester to make it 2-1, with Adomah setting up Lewis Grabban for a third, and Birkir Bjarnason waltzed through midfield to hit a fourth for the hosts.
Villa are now just seven points behind Wolves as they cast one eye to the automatic promotion spots, with a play-off place now all but guaranteed.
A number of players impressed for Villa, but one player who grabbed the attention of Villa fans was playmaker Jack Grealish, with fans lauding him on Twitter after the final whistle.

Fans suggested that Grealish was by far the best player on the pitch, making a mockery of Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves whilst suggesting he is now the top player in the entire Championship.
Others claim that England boss Gareth Southgate should be looking at Grealish for the World Cup this summer, with Villa fans excited at Grealish now starting to fulfil his potential.
