Aston Villa fans react to Henri Lansbury exit

Some Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the departure of Henri Lansbury.

Villa have announced on their official website that Lansbury has left the Premier League club after agreeing a mutual termination of his contract.

The 30-year-old joined Villa from Nottingham Forest in January 2017 and managed to make just 53 appearances in all competitions for the Villans.

The former Arsenal midfielder did not play in the Premier League this season and made only three appearances in the EFL Cup, according to WhoScored.

The 30-year-old has joined Bristol City, with the Championship club announcing on their official website that they have signed him on a short-term contract as a fee agent.

City are aiming to finish in the Championship playoffs, and the former Forest star will help them in that quest.

Lansbury knows the Championship inside out, and it would be good for him to get some regular playing time in the coming weeks and months.
