Aston Villa fans react to Glenn Whelan display against QPR

Aston Villa fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of Glenn Whelan against Queens Park Rangers.

Whelan featured for Villa in their Championship match against QPR away from home at Loftus Road in London on Friday evening.

The 34-year-old midfielder did not start the match, but the Republic of Ireland international came on as a substitute in the 41st minute.

Villa fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of Whelan, who has been on the books of the Villans since the summer of 2017 when he joined from Stoke City for a transfer fee reported by The Daily Mail to be worth £1.25 million.

Disappointing result but overall Villa looked ok tonight, moved the ball quicker (accepting some poor retention, at times) and creative without having an end product. Can see what Smith wants from the players. Hutton, Taylor, Whelan clearly won’t fit.
