Aston Villa beat Minnesota United 3-0 this morning.

Aston Villa kicked off their pre-season preparations in style this morning, as they beat Major League Soccer side Minnesota United 3-0.
Villa have been busy in pre-season in terms of making signings, and come of them were on display last night in a comfortable victory in St Paul.
Jack Grealish put Villa ahead in the first half, before Henri Lansbury and Birkir Bjarnason added second half goals to seal a 3-0 win.
Fans will have been keeping an eye on new arrivals such as Ezri Konsa, Matt Targett, Jota and Wesley, but there was also a debut for Frederic Guilbert.
The Frenchman has become something of a forgotten addition this summer, as he actually joined from Caen in January, but was loaned back to the Ligue 1 side.
Guilbert, 24, couldn’t stop Caen from suffering relegation, and he now heads to Villa to try and become their first-choice right back under Smith.

He certainly made a great start, producing a great run and cross to set up Lansbury’s goal, and Villa fans were really impressed, with many comparing him to Brazil legend Cafu.
Others were blown away by his work rate, believing he will fit in perfectly under Smith whilst predicting a big season for him, with fans raving about the right back’s debut – almost six months since first signing for the club.
