Frederic Guilbert is due to make a move to Aston Villa soon.
Aston Villa fans have moved to encourage Frederic Guilbert after he announced he was leaving France for Birmingham today on social media.
Villa agreed a deal to sign Guilbert in January, but loaned him back to Caen until the end of the season.
Guilbert will now join up with his Villa teammates for the very first time in training shortly though.
And claret and blues fans are excited to see the right-back in action.
Guilbert may well join Villa and immediately be their first choice right-back next season.
With Alan Hutton departing and Ahmed Elmohamady’s place in Smith’s side not totally secure, there is definitely an opening for him to take.
Guilbert impressed in France last term, and is expected to help tighten up Villa’s defence next season.
Smith’s side have been very active already this summer, with the likes of Matt Targett, Wesley Moraes, Jota and Kortney Hause all joining.
