Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to speculation linking the club with a move for Chelsea youngster Ethan Ampadu.

According to The Guardian, Villa are interested in signing Ampadu on a season-long loan deal from Chelsea in the summer transfer window.

It has been reported that the Villans – who will play in the Premier League next season after clinching promotion from the Championship via the playoffs – will target a loan move for the 18-year-old should the Blues decide to send him out on loan.

The teenager, who can operate as a central defender or as a defensive midfielder, is hugely talented and a bright future ahead of him.

Ampadu is also a regular for the Wales national football team, but the teenager will struggle to play first-team football for Chelsea on a regular basis next season.
