Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of Douglas Luiz against Crystal Palace,
Luiz was in action for Villa in their Premier League game against Palace away from home at Selhurst Park on Saturday afternoon.
The 21-year-old central midfielder started the match and played for 71 minutes, as the Villans lost 1-0.
The Brazilian failed to impose on the match, was on the backfoot for most of the time he was on the pitch, and was also booked once.
According to WhoScored, the youngster took one shot, had a pass accuracy of 89.3%, won two headers, and made two tackles, one interception and three clearances.
Dean Smith’s side signed Luiz from defending Premier League champions Manchester City in the summer of 2019 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £15 million.
Villa fans were not impressed with the performance of Luiz and have criticised the central midfielder on Twitter.
