Aston Villa signed Christopher Samba on a one-year deal this week.
Aston Villa announced the signing of Christopher Samba on Thursday.
The 33-year-old joins Aston Villa on a one-year deal after impressing manager Steve Bruce, who allowed him to train with his troops this summer.
Samba, who has played for Blackburn Rovers and Queen Park Rangers, is the fifth player to join the Villans in the transfer window.

He follows John Terry, Ahmed Elmohamady and Glenn Whelan to Villa Park, while goalkeeper Sam Johnstone signed on loan.
At 29, Elmohamady, who turns 30 in September, is the youngest player to sign permanently for Aston Villa this summer, and fans of the West Midlands club were quick to point out the increasing age of Bruce’s squad.
Aston Villa are a relatively old side, but Bruce’s troops finished 13th in the Championship last season and experience could be key in helping them win promotion back to the Premier League.
They kick off the new season by hosting Hull City at Villa Park on August 5.
