The Crystal Palace and Belgium striker remains well loved at Villa Park and some fans pined for his return following his Instagram post.

Belgium striker Christian Benteke is a man who continues to be admired by Aston Villa fans.
The 28-year-old, who currently plies his trade for Crystal Palace, scored 49 goals in 101 appearances for Villa, according to Transfermarkt.
Benteke’s three years in the Second City included hat-tricks against Sunderland and Queens Park Rangers, braces against Liverpool and Arsenal and a goal in the FA Cup semi-final.
The prolific forward, who joined from Belgian club Genk in 2012, subsequently left for Liverpool in the summer of 2015 before upping sticks once again for Selhurst Park a year later.
However, Benteke seems to have remained in touch with some of his former claret and blue colleagues, if this screenshot from his Instagram is anything to go by:
A number of Villa fans who saw the picture could not help but comment on Twitter, pining for a return of a true fan favourite:
Benteke has only made four appearances this season due to a knee injury which has ruled him out for an undisclosed amount of time, though Palace manager Roy Hodgson telling Sky Sports News in November that his player was making “exceptionally good progress”.
