Everton’s Yannick Bolasie ended his loan spell early at Aston Villa and sent a Twitter message to the club’s supporters.

Aston Villa supporters have reacted with brutal honesty on Twitter to Yannick Bolasie’s message after the Everton loanee left the Championship club.

On Monday, Villa confirmed on their official Twitter account that the 29-year-old, who was initially on a season-long loan at the Midlands outfit, has returned to his parent club, Everton.

Following that confirmation, on Friday, Bolasie then took to his personal social media account to thank the club’s supporters, staff and players for their help during his time in B6.

In the 21 league matches Bolasie played for Villa, he found the back of the net on just two occasions and provided his teammates with five assists, according to transfermarkt.

Understandably, the Villa supporters reaction to Bolasie’s twitter message was pretty blunt, with one fan telling him that he simply wasn’t very good for the club.

While another fan stated that he finds it ‘strange’ how it all ended considering he was supposed to see out the season with the promotion-chasing club.

One other fan simply put that he’s ‘glad he’s gone back’ to Goodison Park because he clearly didn’t live up to expectations.

Here is a selection of Villa supporters on Twitter having their say on Bolasie’s message following his departure:

Bolasie will now be looking to prove his worth to Everton manager Marco Silva, who has a plethora of attacking talent to choose from in his squad.

The likes of Bernard, Richarlison, Theo Walcott and Ademola Lookman can all deploy those wides areas – Bolasie has only scored two goals in an Everton shirt.
