Aston Villa fans want Dean Smith to walk away from a deal involving Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Kortney Hause.

According to the Telegraph, Wolves want over £4 million for the centre-back, which has put his potential move to Villa in doubt.

Smith’s side are debating whether to pay Wolves’ current asking price or not.

And Villa fans feel that Hause is now over-priced, so they should walk away from the transfer.

Villa are known to be wanting a new defender in the January transfer market, as Smith feels his side is top heavy.

The claret and blues have plenty of attacking options, but they have been exposed defensively in recent weeks.

If Villa fail to tighten up their backline then catching up with the top six will be a huge challenge.

Villa are currently sat in 10th place in the Championship table, five points away from the play off spaces.
