Chelsea’s Tammy Abraham is set to come up against his former club Aston Villa next season after expressing his desire to stay at Stamford Bridge.

Aston Villa supporters on Twitter believe Tammy Abraham will find it very tough to be Chelsea’s first-choice striker next season.

The 21-year-old wrote his name into Villa’s history books last season when he netted 26 league goals for the club and helped them earn promotion to the Premier League.

He has since returned to his parent club Chelsea and expressed his desire to be their main striker rather than make a return to Villa Park, as reported by the Telegraph.

If Villa were to secure his signature from Chelsea then he would cost in the region of £25 million, as reported by the Mirror last month.

If Frank Lampard gets the Chelsea job then that’ll increase Abraham’s chances of playing because he does give the youngsters a chance.

Lampard is still contracted to Derby County, and during their previous campaign where they reached the play-off final before losing to Villa, he gave a number of youngsters the chance to thrive in the first-team.

Abraham will be hoping that trend continues if he makes the switch from Pride Park to Stamford Bridge.
