Aston Villa fans have been left frustrated, after Steve Bruce suggested that he was ‘starting again’ at Villa Park this season.

Bruce has appealed for time, as he looks to restructure Villa’s squad, following their failure to go up last season.

Villa lost in the play off final final last term, and although their financial problems have been lessened, it could still be that key players depart.

Jack Grealish has been heavily linked with a move away from Villa, with Bruce suggesting to the Birmingham Mail: “It’s going to take time and for me, I honestly feel like I’m starting all over again.”

However, Villa fans are not particularly happy about the comments, as they blame Bruce for being the reason they are having to re-set.

Bruce has tended to bring in older players, as he has put his faith in experience.

Villa’s squad now has little re-sale value, outside of a few star players.

The pressure is now on Bruce to deliver this season, after a summer of speculation over his future.

Villa were reportedly considering Thierry Henry, but the new owners appear to have stuck by Bruce for now.
