Leeds United are keeping an eye on Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce, according to The Star.
Paul Heckingbottom’s job security at Elland Road is in doubt after a poor spell since taking charge in February.
Bruce may be an ex-Manchester United player, but in the two decades since his retirement he has put together a stellar managerial career, including winning promotion from the Championship with both Birmingham and Hull City.

He has just fallen short this time around with Aston Villa, and the club are facing a fresh start.
Financial worries means they need to sell players, and high earner John Terry is unlikely to return.

Aston Villa have already been linked with a replacement themselves, with Tuttomercatoweb linking former Inter Milan boss Andrea Stramaccioni.
This would free Bruce up for an exit, and Leeds may well view him as an upgrade over the inexperienced Heckingbottom.
