Bournemouth loanee Tyrone Mings has enjoyed a successful start to life at Aston Villa.
Aston Villa fans on Twitter are worried that they will now have to earn promotion in order to keep Bournemouth loanee Tyrone Mings at the club.
The Mirror (17 March, page 72) claim that Premier League side Southampton are keen to sign the 26-year-old powerhouse, with his performances at Villa Park catching the eye of those a St Mary’s.
In January, Villa snapped up the services of Mings on a loan deal from the Vitality Stadium and since his arrival, he has become a key member of the club’s defence.
As you would expect, the Villa supporters on Twitter weren’t too impressed to hear of Southampton’s interest as many feel they may have to earn promotion in order to sign him up on a permanent basis. Another fan also felt that failure to earn promotion could result in another re-build.

In Villa’s last four Championship matches, they have picked up maximum points, three clean sheets and scored 11 goals, with six different players getting on the scoresheet.
As a result, Dean Smith’s side currently occupy a play-off spot with eight league matches remaining, but a number of teams below them do have games in hand.
After the international break, the Midlands outfit will host Blackburn Rovers on home soil before they prepare to meet up with their former manager Steve Bruce, who is now at Sheffield Wednesday.
