Aston Villa’s Scott Hogan has endured a number of difficult seasons since he decided to make the switch from Brentford during the 2017 January transfer window.

Aston Villa supporters on Twitter feel that there is no future at the club for Scott Hogan following his comments about wanting regular game time.
Striker Hogan barely featured for Villa during their promotion campaign as he was sent out on loan to Sheffield United in January, who were also promoted, but once again he hardly featured for them either.
The 27-year-old moved to Villa Park during the January transfer window of 2017, but he struggled to make a name for himself on a bigger stage as the goals were hard to come by for the penalty-box poacher.
Whilst on international duty with the Republic of Ireland, Hogan made it clear that he needs to play games, as he claimed that if he were to play 40 matches then he could score 25 goals, as quoted by the Birmingham Mail.
Hogan played his best football when he was at Brentford and when he was playing under the stewardship of Dean Smith, who is now his Villa manager.
But considering Smith didn’t stand in his way in moving out on loan in January whilst Villa were in the Championship, it would be pretty hard to see Hogan breaking his way into the starting XI now the club is in the Premier League.

Added with that, Villa just recently announced on their official website that they have agreed the transfer of Club Brugge striker Wesley Moares.
That deal pushes Hogan further down Villa’s attacking order, with Jonathan Kodjia and even perhaps Keinan Davis ahead of him as they played more games than him last season.
